We have purchased our home, and now we are starting some renovations.
Before we ever bought the house, the master bathroom had to have some work done. The floor around the toilet was getting thin and when you stepped on the the laminate it sagged under your feet. I jokingly told Matthew that “one of these days you are gonna sit down to use the bathroom and end up in the basement!”
So we started tearing it up.
The shower in this bathroom was a handicapped shower. It took up one whole wall and had two little seats in it. We tried to save the shower to put in Jordan’s house, but realized after chiseling it out that it was too big to fit through the door. So we used a jig saw to cut it into workable pieces.
Here’s the demolition pictures.

Where the big shower used to be.
Jordan heloing pack out the shower in pieces. That is fiberglass dust you see in the air.
This is the place where my new cabinets are going to be.

Old mirror and sink.
Ezra thought he could help, so he got to use some “kid safe” tools. His flashlight, rubber mallet, level and screwdriver.
Here are the “after” shots of our remodeled bathroom.
This is our new shower, it is smaller, and has tile from floor to ceiling.
The new built in cabinets that my father in law built for me. I NEEDED these!
Our new sink and mirror.
This is the tile that is on the walls. My favorite color is green, so this bathroom got green. Maybe as we remodel other parts of the house I will branch out to different color. maybe…
